We recommend getting travel insurance when going international. However, not all countries require visitors to have insurance coverage in order to enter. Travel insurance is compulsory for all Schengen Countries such as Germany, Belgium, France, etc. Travel insurance should be taken out at the time of booking. You must provide proof of your travel insurance on the first day of your trip; you will not be able to enter the country without it.
